For 79% of Americans, the top goal last year was improving health – yet most failed. So how can we make our health resolutions stick in 2025?
To start your New Year’s resolution on the right foot, Dr. Kim L. Jeffries Leonard, CEO and president of Envision Consulting, offers some simple tips to get you healthier in 2025 – no matter your age:
- Stay Active: Start with small changes, like taking daily walks, choosing the stairs, or parking further away to get in those extra steps.
- Eat Healthy: Fill your plate with fruits and veggies, opt for lean proteins, limit sugary treats, and cook more meals at home rather than eating out.
- Manage Stress: Recognize when you’re getting overwhelmed or burnt out and take some time to recharge – read a book, take a walk outside, meet up with old friends, or work on a hobby.
- Get Vaccinated: With flu season in full swing, check with your doctor and make sure you’re up to date on flu, COVID-19, and RSV vaccines to help protect your health and your loved ones.
